This is 5 yards of a really neat, amazing & hard to find tying material…. it is called CRYSTAL ICE HACKLE.  This color is COPPER.   This synthetic material is a great feather replacement, and I have it in many colors.  Basically you tie it in and palmer it like you would do on buggers. You can use this material over a chenille body or without. I’m showing a bugger in a size 8 tied with this material to illustrate tying on a smaller sized hook.  For the bugger, you need tying thread, marabou for the tail, and this crystal ice hackle.  It is like chenille (puts a bit of a bulky body on), and you palmer it forward.  There is fibers on both sides of the “stem” … just like a feather.  You can use it on anything you want…from buggers to bodies on saltwater patterns.  The fibers are slightly over 1/2″ inch long. This material works great for hook sizes 8, 6, 4, 2.  You can use it on smaller hook sizes, you just need to trim the fibers to the appropriate length. This is really neat stuff.  Give it a try and use your imagination !!!!
